Therefore, in order to better advise our clients into making educated decisions, we schedule a “Sales & Ordering Appointment” for each client.

In the past, we have printed old-fashioned “proofs.” Our clients found that these were often difficult to view, especially in full-length poses and portraits with more than one person. They were not retouched, which made them look less professional. Plus, when using proofs, clients couldn’t receive professional guidance from our staff, which is essential in creating beautiful final portraits.

Our clients love to see their images on the new projection screen! The 10-foot screen allows clients to see their images larger than life size to truly make an educated decision. The process begins with a slide show, which allows our clients to get an overview of their entire portrait session. This is particularly helpful since our clients find that their first impressions are always their best. From there, we are able to help our clients narrow the choices down to their favorites. We help them decide on appropriate sizes, packages, framing, and other options. We are confident that, with our expertise, you will choose high-quality, artistic portraits that you will treasure forever.

At your “Sales & Ordering Appointment,” you will sit back and relax while we help you to:

• View your portraits large-scale on the 10-foot projection screen.
• See small details that you wouldn’t be able to with proofs.
• Decide on retouching and effects such as black-and-white or sepia.
• View the exact size of your portraits up to 30x40”
• Discuss proper retouching.
• Choose appropriate sizes and quantities of each pose.
• Choose the best framing options.
• Choose custom portrait products such as collages, Modern Image Albums, and art prints.
• Get professional artistic advice from the experts at Birchfield.

And that’s not all! After you order your portraits, Don, Andrea, and Emily work hard to insure that your portraits will be of the best quality. They will retouch your images and apply any discussed portrait effects. Finished 5x7s, 8x10s, and 11x14s are mounted on art board, stamped, and edged in gold or silver. Wall portraits 16x20 and larger are mounted on masonite and signed. Plus, for wall portraits 24x30 or larger, you may choose an at-home Framing Consultation (inside Sanilac County only).
